Joining the Club

1. Create a Hart House account

If you are not a student, you will need an account to access our registration page. Be sure to create this account ahead of time!

2. Complete Safety Lessons

In order to become a member of the club, you have to complete two 1-hour safety lessons with us, “Safety 1” and “Safety 2”. These are lessons that will teach you how to safely shoot an arrow from a bow, what the rules of the range are, and give you a chance to try out archery for yourself! These lessons are required even if you have previous archery experience. Registration opens at the start of every semester. Due to limited physical capacity at the range, slots tend to get fully booked within minutes. As a result, we highly recommend you set an alarm ahead of time.

Follow us on social media to get notified when registration opens!

3. Obtain a Hart House membership

If you are a student at the University of Toronto, then you likely already have a membership to Hart House as part of your incidental fees. Otherwise, after the safety lessons you will receive instructions from the club staff on how to obtain a membership.

Note that this means you need to be eligible for a Hart House membership in the first place. See https://harthouse.ca/join/membership for more information.
